Al centro del borgo in via Moriggi 22, nei locali recuperati dell'antica posteria di S. Maria del Monte , è aperto tutti i giorni "L'Emporio di S. Maria del Monte", il negozio polifunzionale con: internet point, una vetrina delle eccellenze enogastronomiche e turistiche locali e provinciali, oggettistica anche religiosa, l’informazione turistica. Si trovano le tradizionali giromette portafortuna, l’amaro, il rosolio. il miele, le confetture, la formaggella , il salame, la birra Poretti...

The shop “L’Emporio di S. Maria del Monte” is in via Moriggi 22, in the centre of the village where once the old grocer’s was located. The shop is open every day and there you can find all the best products coming from Varese and its neighbourhood, such as giromette biscuits, liqueurs, chocolates, honey, jams, formagella cheese, beer. Moreover, you can buy small gifts and souvenirs, get tourist information and use an internet point.
As far as tourism is concerned, we recommend you a guided tour to discover the beautiful village, the ancient sanctuary, the Sacro Monte (listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List since 2003), and the Baroffio Museum. You can also take trekking tours along the paths in the area of Campo dei Fiori mountain, where an astronomical observatory is located.
